LG G Flex's Press Renders Leak – Showing off it's Curved 6-inch Display

Just last week, Samsung announced their Galaxy Round. Which is their “first” curved display device. Now the reason why I put first in quotations is because it’s not technically their first curved display device. Galaxy Nexus anyone? This LG G Flex is actually curved the same as the Galaxy Nexus was. Which is much easier to use in my opinion than the way the Galaxy Round’s is. But that’s just my opinion.

This evening Engadgethas gotten their hands on some press renders of the LG G Flex, which is about as we expected. It looks a lot like the G2, but with a bigger display. It’ll be interesting to see how thin the bezels are on this device. As we all know the bezels on the G2 are very thin. LG isn’t expected to announce this device until next month, but they might announce it sooner since Samsung pulled the trigger a little early in announcing theirs. So far pricing and availability are unknown and so are specs. But if the G Flex is going to compete with the Galaxy Round, it’s going to be similar, spec-wise, to the LG G2, which means a Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM. Which means monstrous specs.

The LG G Flex will most likely only be available in South Korea at launch, similar to the Galaxy Round is right now. Since LG is in South Korea along with Samsung. It’s interesting to see both of these companies trying really hard to get out some curved display and flexible display devices out into the market. But what will be different with this device? Will it just be the same as the G2 but with a curved display? At least with Samsung’s Galaxy Round you can tilt the device and get the Air View information you’d get from waving your hand over the top of the device.

How many of you would be interested in picking up the LG G Flex next month?
