Specs: Samsung Galaxy Round – First Curved OLED Display Smartphone

Earlier this evening, Samsung announced the Galaxy Round, which is the first curved OLED display smartphone on the market. It’s actually hitting SK Telecom in South Korea on Thursday. And now we have the full specs of this curved OLED beauty. It’s every similar to the Galaxy Note 3, but it doesn’t appear to have the S Pen. So here are the complete specs:

  • Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz
  • 3GB of RAM

  • Micro SD card slot, supporting up to an additional 64GB of space
  • 13MP camera AF with Flash
  • Other camera features include Drama Shot, Sound & Shot, Animated Photo, Eraser, Best Photo, Best Face, Beauty Face, HDR, Panorama, Sports, Golf, Surround Shot, and Live effect
  • 2MP front-facing camera
  • Android 4.3 – Jelly Bean
  • WiFi a/b/g/n/ac
  • WiFi Direct

  • Weight: 154g
  • Battery: 2800mAh
  • Additional features: Group Play, Story Album, S Translator, Samsung Smart Scroll, Samsung Smart Pause, Air Gesture Air View, Samsung Apps, Samsung Hub, ChatON (Voice/Video Call, Share screen, 3-way calling), Samsung WatchON, S Voiceâ„¢ Hands Free, S Health and more
  • LTE 150/50m bps

Like we mentioned already, the Galaxy Round is making it’s way into South Korea via SK Telecom on Thursday and so far we have no launch information about it coming to other markets. But since this is the first curved or flexible display, I’d expect it to be launched in many other markets soon. Especially since they are looking to beat LG who is also developing their own panel for the G Flex, which will resemble the G2.
