Nexus 5 Lands on 6 Canadian Carriers
Good news for our fellow Canadians, following the launch of the Nexus 5 in the US and elsewhere in the world. The Nexus 5 is starting to make it to carrier stores. In fact on Friday it made it to Sprint here in the US and will hit T-Mobile next week. But this week, it also landed on 6 carriers in Canada. Those carriers include Bell, TELUS, Rogers, Videotron, Fido and Virgin. They are all selling the phone subsidized and starts at $49 and runs up to $199 depending on your carrier.
Huawei Ascend P6 lands at WIND Mobile
The Huawei Ascend P6 has landed at WIND Mobile, who is offering it for $399 outright. Which is a great price for a great device. Sure the Ascend P6 is not up to the caliber of the Galaxy Note 3, G2 or any other flagship. But it’s still a damn nice phone. It has a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display, Huawei’s K3V2E chip inside, along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal space. It’s also running Android 4.2.2. If you want to buy it subsidized, that starts as low as free.
HTC Desire Hits Koodo
No, this isn’t the original one. We haven’t gone back in time or anything. But this is the Desire 601, which was announced by HTC a few weeks ago. It’s finally made it over to Koodo Mobile. It’s available for $300 outright. There doesn’t seem to be a subsidized price for this one. It’s packing a 4.5-inch 960×540 resolution display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera, 2100mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 – Jelly Bean. Not bad for $300, although the Nexus 5 is just a bit more unlocked.
HTC One Mini Lands at Rogers
Rogers is also getting a new HTC device. This one is the HTC One Mini, which I reviewed a few months ago. I actually really liked the HTC One Mini, I have to say, it’s probably one of the best 4.3-inch phones out there right now. It’s sporting a 720p display, Snapdragon 400, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and of course the same 4MP UltraPixel camera found in the HTC One. It’s also running Android 4.2.2, and Sense 5. Which should be receiving an update quickly.
