Samsung Galaxy Gear Drops $50 on Black Friday
For those of you in Canada that have been thinking about grabbing the Galaxy Gear. Well you may want to wait until Black Friday, which is next Friday. It’ll be receiving a $50 price drop. So it’s dropping from $329.99 to $279.99. Not a huge drop, but it is an extra $50. Remember the Galaxy Gear works with the Galaxy Note 3 and any other Samsung device that has the Android 4.3 update.
Motorola’s Moto G Launches in Canada for $200 Outright
On Friday, The Moto G launched in Canada rather quietly. It’s available from a couple of carriers like TELUS and Koodo for $0 on a new contract, or $200 outright. Now that’s a bit more than what it’ll be going for in the US when it launches here. But for $200 it’s still a great device. Especially since it’s getting Android 4.4 in January.
HTC Desire launches on Videotron
This week the HTC Desire (technically the Desire 601) launched over on Videotron. The device is available outright for about $350, or $29.95 on a new 2-year contract. The HTC Desire is packing a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 5MP camera on the back, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a 2100mAh battery inside. Not bad for only $350 outright, although you could get a Nexus 5 for that price.
Fido Offering 10% discounts to additional lines
Fido is doing something rather cool. They’ve just launched a new promo deal that will allow account holders to take 10% off the monthly service fee for additional lines. This is only available on new activations, and surprisingly, it is stackable with the existing 10% bring-your-own-device discounts.
Pebble comes to Best Buy Canada for $149
The smartwatch that no one really ever talks about, is now available at Best Buy. And is now available at Best Buy in Canada for about $149. Although it looks like Best Buy is only offering it in Black at this point, unfortunately.
