Rogers Releasing the HTC Desire 601 for $79 on a 2-year Contract
We already knew that the HTC Desire 601 was coming to Rogers and Fido in Canada. Now we’ve got some pricing for the HTC Desire 601. It’s going to cost you $79 on a new 2-year contract, or $300 outright. The HTC Desire 601 will be arriving on both carriers tomorrow, November 4th. The Desire 601 is packing a 4.5-inch 960×540 resolution display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera, 2100mAh battery and Android 4.2. Not bad for the price, actually.
Nexus 5 Coming to Canadian Carriers, will be $500 CDN Outright
The Nexus 5 was finally announced on Thursday and sold out really quickly all over the world. Of course, Canada was no different. In Canada, Google is selling the Nexus 5 for $349 and $399 for the 16GB and 32GB respectively. It appears that many of the Canadian carriers will also be selling it, and it’ll cost you about $500. Which is a bit of a markup, but not as bad as what Best Buy is doing here…if that does turn out to be true.
Canada Blocks TELUS-Mobilicity Spectrum Deal
Canada has yet again, blocked the TELUS and Mobilicity spectrum deal. The federal government has rejected a second attempt by big telecommunications company Telus corp, to acquire licenses from struggling wireless startup Mobilicity. According to Industry Minister James Moore.
Sony Xperia M making it’s way to Bell and Virgin Mobile on November 7th
This week, we found out that the mid-ranged Sony Xperia M is making it’s way to a couple of Canada’s carriers. That would be Bell and Virgin Mobile. The Xperia M will be launching on Thursday and will cost $200 outright. For that price you’re getting a 4-inch 854×480 resolution display, 5MP camera, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1700mAh battery, LTE and Android 4.1.
Rogers Launching the Super-Rugged Cat B15 Android smartphone this Month
Earlier this year, at Mobile World Congress we were introduced to this very rugged phone from Caterpillar. Just by looking at it, it appears to be tough like a tank. It’ll be available later this month for $99 on a 2-year contract. Although no full retail price was given. It’s coming with a 4-inch WVGA display, 2000mAh battery, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB fo RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5MP camera, and Android 4.1.
