Just in time for the Holidays, Google has updated its Wallet app on Android to deliver some amazing deals with the addition of a number of brands. Google announced the news via their Google Commerce blog, detailing thirteen new retailers that will dole out savings and reward points when using the Google Wallet app to link your membership, sign up with brands or use the “Buy With Google” option.
Google Wallet allows you to send money to anyone in the U.S. with an email address, store loyalty points in one spot and even buy products using contactless payment with an NFC enabled phone. Google Wallet also offers top-notch security to protect your sensitive payment information from prying eyes.
The following Loyalty Programs are now available through Google Wallet:
- Orbitz Rewards – $30 in Orbucks
- Avis – Save $15
- Amtrak Guest Rewards – 100 Bonus Points
- California Pizza Kitchen – Free small plate and dessert
- Walgreens – Earn points easily
- Red Mango – $2 reward
- BJ’s – 50 bonus points
To add any of the above mentioned Loyalty Programs, open up the Google Wallet app, go to “Loyalty Programs” and tap the “+” to add new programs to your wallet.
Rewards aren’t all Google is offering. Substantial deals can be had when using the “Buy with Google Option” when making a purchase from the vendors listed below, either online through a mobile site or through a dedicated app:
- Orbitz – 20% off via Android app
- GNC – $20 off via mobile site
- Wish – $5 off via Android app
- Eat 24 – $5 off via Android app
- Rakuten.com – $10 in Rakuten Super Points via mobile site
- B&H – 5% off via mobile site
