We’ve been hearing for months that Verizon will get Moto Maker access for the Moto X on November 11th. Which is actually tomorrow. The folks over at Phandroidhave found the Moto Maker page over on Verizon’s website. The page basically tells us that the device is out of stock, and also shows some different colors for the Moto X.
This seems to point to the end of AT&T’s exclusivity on the Moto Maker program, which is something we’ve desperately been awaiting. @Evleaks has told us that both Sprint and Verizon would get Moto Maker access tomorrow, and it looks like Verizon already has their page ready. With Moto Maker you can change the back plate color, choose between black and white front colors, choose your button accent colors, change the boot animation message, choose your accessories and more.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve been waiting for Moto Maker to pick up a Moto X, and now that its been dropped down to $99. It’ll be a good buy for many people. Even if it doesn’t have the latest specs, the Moto X is very smooth. When I reviewed it a few months ago, I really like how smooth it was. Along with the Active Display and touchless controls, it was a pretty amazing phone. Trust me, once you use Active Display, you won’t be able to go back to using just a notification LED on your phone. It’s just that great.
So we might see a press release from Motorola and/or Verizon tomorrow. Or we might not. But stay tuned, as it should go live tomorrow, unless Evleaks is wrong again. Which doesn’t happen often. How many of you have been waiting to pick up a Moto X to get it through Moto Maker? Let us know in the comments below.
