Nexus 12 – A Concept Tablet For us Android Dreamers!

Dreamers dream – artists draw – writers write – and concept designers do all three!  They dream up a concept of a device, draw it out the way they envision it, and then write about it to make us think about what the future may hold.  The Techno Toast has done just that with their latest concept idea – The Nexus 12 tablet, in all of its glory!

While everybody is talking about the new Nexus 8 or Samsung Galaxy 12.2 tablets, these folks are concentrating on what a new Nexus 12 tablet may look like and what specifications we can expect. After all, this is their concept and they can bring to the party anything or idea they want, so let us explore the way they envision this Nexus 12 with these crazy wild specifications.

For starters, ASUS will build this 12-inch tablet with a capacitive touchscreen display sporting a 5120×3200 resolution and 503 pixels per inch (PPI), covered with Gorilla Glass 4…not too shabby. This should allow for the sharpest of pictures, drawing, doodling, or reading your favorite books or watching your favorite movies or videos.

The processing will be carried out with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 quad-core, running at 2.6GHz (most likely 64-bit, although they fail to mention that). To work with this processor it will have a minimum of 4GB of RAM, expandable to 6GB for those power users that require more heavy-duty applications.

For pictures and video chatting, it will sport a 13 megapixel (MP) camera on the back of the device that can shoot up to 4K, and a 3MP front-facing camera (FFC) that will offer superior video chatting. To hear your chats, videos, or movies, it will include five powerful neodymium speakers on either of the tablet…and by using neodymium, the magnets will be much lighter, not adding much weight to this beauty.

The Nexus 12 will run Android 4.5 KitKat, just because it can, but it will be a multi-booting device, offering both Windows RT and Chrome OS with an official pre-root due to a partnership with SuperUser and Cyanogenmod. All tablets will be 4G LTE ready, as well as Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.4, etc. – or as they call it, “the usual stuff.”

They even list prices for three internal storage configurations – $320 for 32GB, $447 for 64GB, and $575 for the 128GB model…talk about concepts!  Let us know in the comments or on Goggle+ what you think about this concept Nexus 12 tablet – would it be on your wish list?
