Yesterday, the folks over at Phone Buff went ahead and did a nice video showing off the speeds of the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and the Nexus One. That’s every Nexus phone ever made. Now many of you may remember that the Nexus One and Nexus S both are sporting 1GHz single-core processors with 512MB of RAM, while the Galaxy Nexus has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Then the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 have quad-core processors clocked at 1.5GHz and 2.26Ghz respectively with 2GB of RAM.
Phone Buff went ahead and powered the devices on, and of course the Nexus 5 was first. They also went ahead and turned on Temple Run 2 to start playing. And it was pretty amazing to see how slow the Nexus One was in starting up the game. They also did a browser test, and of course as expected, the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 were the fastest loading.
It’s really quite amazing to see how far the Nexus hardware has come since 2010 with the Nexus One. Of course as we all know, the Nexus One was made by HTC, Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus made by Samsung, and the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 made by LG. This leaves us wondering who will make the next Nexus? Perhaps Sony?
Now all we need is for someone to show a speed comparison between all the Nexus tablets, although I’d expect the Nexus 7 (2013) to be the fastest, followed by the Nexus 10 and the original Nexus 7. But who knows. It would be cool to test all the Nexus devices side by side.
How many of you own all of the Nexus devices? I own the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 and the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 definitely blows them all away. How many of you have ordered a Nexus 5 already? Let us know in the comments down below.
