One thing we’ve learned over the years of the Nexus family is that the accessories from Google aren’t usually available for about 6 months. Well this year, Google has worked hard to change that. When they launched the Nexus 7 (2013) in the summer, they had a few different cases and sleeves available shortly after release. Now when the Nexus 5 was announced about 3 weeks ago, they also announced the QuickCover, Bumper cases and a Wireless Charger for the Nexus 5 on Google Play. Some of the bumpers were in stock, while many of them weren’t. All the others were “coming soon”.Now Google has all of them in stock and are now shipping.
The Nexus 5 Quick Cover is now available in black and white, and it’ll cost you about $50. It’s basically like the S View Cover for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. But without the little window to view the time. It’s not a case I’d buy, but that doesn’t make it a bad case. The bumpers are in stock in yellow and red. Which will cost you about $35. We reviewed the yellow bumper, and while I wasn’t a huge fan of it, it will provide adequate protection for your Nexus 5. Finally there’s the Wireless charger. Which is not the same as the charging orb Google sold last year, unfortunately. It is a universal wireless charger with the Nexus logo in the middle, it’s compatible with the Nexus 5, Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2013), and it’ll cost you $50.

Additionally, Google has brought the Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 5 into Hong Kong and India today. As far as we can tell, the Nexus 5 cases and wireless charger isn’t yet available in Hong Kong or India, but that shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
How many of you have been waiting on the Wireless charger for your Nexus 5? Or those in Hong Kong and India, how many of you have been waiting for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 to launch in your country?
