Vivo Xplay 3S Launches December 12th With Snapdragon 800, 3GB of RAM and More!

The Vivo Xplay 3S is a phone being manufactured by a chinese company called BBK Electronics, and is going to be the world’s first smartphone that sports a 2560×1440 pixel display. As this 5.5″ QHD behemoth gets closer to launch, more and more details start to flow out about what other features and specs we may see from the Xplay 3S.

Presumably and hopefully, it’ll come preloaded with Android 4.4 kit kat, and other leaked hardware specs point to the Xplay 3S housing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor and Adreno 330 chipset, with 3 gigs of RAM. Should you decide you need to play the most demanding game on Android possible, while also watching YouTube videos and replying to posts on all your favorite social feeds, the Vivo Xplay 3S should be able to handle anything you throw at it. Although it is not currently known exactly how good the cameras resolution will be, the specs show an f/1.8 aperture.

The leaked information also points to the device having LTE connectivity, as well as a HiFi audio chip with USB 3.0 connectivity. Which means the Galaxy Note III will no longer be the only device to carry these specs. According to GizChina, the image they leaked shows that we can expect to see the Vivo Xplay 3S launch on December 12th. It is likely that we won’t see this phone up for sale anywhere but the chinese market, but that still remains to be determined as well as information on pricing of the device. So far it looks like the Xplay 3S is going to be a pretty high end phone, and you can bet that it’s pricing will reflect that.

If this device ever becomes available outside of the chinese market, taking into account the yet to be announced pricing and availability details, is this phone something that anybody would consider buying? Or would you rather stick with something like the Galaxy Note III or other devices of similar size? Keep your eyes peeled, December 12 is fast approaching and we should have more information on the Vivo Xplay 3S as the date arrives.
