Android App Updates 12/20/13: XFINITY TV X1, AP Mobile, Fitbit and More

Comcast Launches XFINITY TV X1 Remote with voice Commands

This week, Comcast launched a new app. It’s the XFINITY TV X1 Remote. It’s actually a pretty cool app. It allows you to control your TV and even use voice commands to control it as well. It’s semi-HOLO themed, and has a nice black theme, which I actually quite like.

AP Mobile Gets a new User Interface

AP Mobile also updated their app this week, and brought along for the ride a brand new interface, which looks pretty nice in my opinion. There’s also the option to customize tiles to see only the news you want to see, as well as some performance improvements and bug fixes, which we normally see with updates.

Fitbit Gets Updated

This week the Fitbit app got updated to support wireless sync for more devices, which includes the Moto X, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), Droid Razr M, Droid Razr HD, Droid Razr Maxx HD, Droid Mini, Droid Ultra, and the Droid Maxx. Fitbit also increased sync stability for the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 with this update.

Press Updated to version 1.5

Press, one of the few RSS Readers left out there, got updated and brought in support for KitKat’s Immersive Mode, as well as new night theme and some gestures. It’s still one of the best RSS Readers out there, I’m still waiting for the desktop client. Press is on sale for $2.99 in the Play Store.

Evernote Updated to bring Inline Attachment Support

The latest update for Evernote brings inline attachment support for files and pictures, it also lets Business subscribers view a list of all notes. It’s a pretty big update for Evernote, which seems to still be the king for note taking, ahead of Google Keep.
