Android Game Of The Week: KAMI

There are plenty of puzzle games out there but none quite like KAMI. First introduced onto iOS, KAMI became a smash hit and we see why. This unique puzzle game takes a fresh approach to solving puzzles, and does it in an artful way that is filled with tasteful beauty. KAMI,(which means paper in Japanese, although I’m sure you already gathered that much) almost seems like it takes on a sort of origami state without all the pretty shapes you turn a piece of paper into, which is the essential backbone of what origami actually is. The goal ultimately is to take each stage, and try to complete the puzzle in as little folds as possible.Puzzles can many times be overwhelming and portray a certain frustration if they become too challenging(at least that’s how I feel sometimes, until I solve it than I strut around like I’m a Genius) but KAMI has a serene way of proposing its puzzles to the gamer in such a fashion that you feel as calm and relaxed as possible while playing. The unique handcrafted art style of KAMI was created using real paper to give it an authentic Japanese look, and there are sixty-three unique and beautifully crafted puzzles for you to solve, so you should have your hands full for a little while at the least. To add to the soothing ambiance of the gameplay, you’ll be solving puzzles with a chaotic calmness as you frantically try to beat your best time all to the tune of an elegant peaceful soundtrack. It is worth noting that the original game only includes the first 45 puzzles, and if you want the additional 18 that turns this game into a 63 puzzle masterpiece, they are available as IAP packs. State of Play Games also mentions that there are going to be more puzzles that are added periodically, with some of those puzzles being free updates and some that will be available to purchase. If you’re someone who really enjoys a good Puzzle game but knows how enraged one can get if you can’t solve a particular brain teaser, try KAMI. You’ll be surprised at the feeling of tranquil harmony you are left with when you’re done playing. If you wish to grab KAMI, it’s available in the Play Store now for $0.99http://youtu.be/KOrTRub2FYQ
