ASUS is really working on hyping their CES 2014 press conference in early-January. A few days ago, they posted a teaser about a dual-booting Android/Windows tablet at CES 2014. Now there’s a new teaser from ASUS showing off a few more phones. A 4-inch, 5-inch, and a 6-inch phone. The teaser is entitled “What’s your number?” The teaser shows balls falling from the sky over Taipei, Taiwan. Which is where ASUS is located. It also has phone dialing-like sounds playing in the background. Then ASUS shows balls with numbers of 4, 5, and 6. Which is why we believe they are showing off a 4-inch, 5-inch and a 6-inch phone at CES.
Keep in mind this is a video teaser, to hype up their press conference at CES in January. So it’s pretty likely that the announcements ASUS has at CES have something to do with this trailer. So more than likely we’ll see three new phones from ASUS, in all three sizes. Which is something I’d like to see. But the real question here is where these phones will be available. ASUS has made a few phones in the past, but many of you have probably never heard of them since they really never made it out of Asia. ASUS is a pretty big tablet and computer manufacturer, and I love their hardware. I’d definitely welcome them creating phones, hopefully making their way into the US.
As expected, this is speculation at this point, since we don’t have confirmation from ASUS. But this is more concrete than most other rumors we are seeing this time of year. Hopefully we’ll see some good stuff from ASUS at CES in Las Vegas. We already know there’s a dual-booting Android/Windows tablet on the way at CES, so we’ll see very shortly.
