HTC One Max Becomes Official in Stealth Black Color

One of the things I said in my review of the HTC One Max, was the fact that I didn’t really like the Silver/white color of the HTC One family. I actually much preferred the Stealth black color. Seeing as the HTC One I had reviewed was the Stealth Black, I immediately fell in love with it. Now HTC has announced the HTC One Max in stealth black, which looks nice. But it’s still an oversized HTC One. I kind of tore it apart in the review, so I won’t redo that here. But I wish they had done more with the software instead of working on another color.

Over in Hong Kong, is where HTC made the announcement of the black HTC One Max. It may or may not head to the US soon. Seeing as the HTC One Max is only available on Sprint and Verizon, we may see the stealth black color as an exclusive at Verizon. Yeah, I know exclusives suck. But it’s happened before. In fact, Best Buy has an exclusive on the Arctic Blue HTC One, crazy right?

Remember the HTC One Max has a 5.9-inch 1080p SuperLCD3 display, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, along with HTC’s 4MP UltraPixel camera (without OIS), and 16GB or 32GB internal storage. It’s also running Android 4.3, but HTC says an update is coming soon to the HTC One Max as well as the other members of the One family. The HTC One Max also has Boomsound which is amazing, even without Beats Audio inside. On a phone this size, with those large front-facing speakers, the sound is amazing. It was by far my favorite feature on the device. The HTC One Max also has a 3300mAh battery which does give it pretty good battery life (I was able to get a good 48 hours on a charge during my review time).

So the HTC One Max in black, looks nice, but will it sell? That’s the real question with anything HTC announces. Hopefully we see them pushing this over to the US, and not as an exclusive but who knows. Would you buy this color of the One Max?
