Given all the recent rumors about the upcoming handset from Chinese cellphone maker Oppo, it would be pretty interesting to see the Oppo Find 7 come along with some of the rumored specs like the 2560×1440 resolution with a screen size of 5 inches. Since Oppo Executive Carl Pei has divulged some information on the screen size of the Find 7, the possibility of a 5 inch display isn’t too far off. Previous rumors about the device had been depicting it with a 5.7 inch or even 7 inch display size. 5.7 inches isn’t too much bigger than what we have now, but a 7 inch display on a phone would be gargantuan. None of those rumors matter now, because we know those won’t be the display sizes. Is it possible we could see the size of the screen at 5 inches? Just imagine a device with almost twice the pixels of other 1080p displays in a 5 inch screen.
Other rumors of course include the newest Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and 3Gb of RAM, and by the sounds of those specs this would be one powerful phone. The Find 7 is also rumored to have 13MP camera on the back with a 5MP front shooter, and a battery size of 4000 mAh. Of all the rumors swarming around the Oppo 7 we know one thing to be true thanks to Oppo’s International Markets Manager. Carl Pei’s statement was short and sweet, stating only what not to expect from the Oppo Find 7, which can be found at his Google+ page.
Judging by another statement on Pei’s G+ post that Oppo has received extensive feedback over the past year with the Find 5’s success, and that Oppo is listening, we can certainly expect the Find 7 to be a great device. This could also mean that they have taken into account consumer suggestions about what they wanted out of the next iteration of the “Find” series phones and will be implementing them into the 7, or at least to some degree.
There is still plenty we don’t know about the Find 7, like what version of Android will it come preinstalled with? What will the price tag be? What will we have for storage options? One thing remains certain, and that’s the fact that no one will be carrying around a tablet size phone.
