We’ve been hearing about the Find 7 from OPPO for quite sometime now. It’s destined to be one of the best devices of the new year. Or whenever OPPO actually announces the thing. It seems like 2014, is going to be all about the 2560×1440 resolution displays. As Samsung and LG have already been rumored to be using those on their next flagships, the Galaxy S5 and G3, respectively. Now OPPO is joining that trend as well.
OPPO has been teasing us on Twitter for quite some time now about the Find 7. And today, they posted an image about the display. Basically confirming to us that it’ll have a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 resolution display. Which gives us a 538 pixel density. That’s 538 pixels per square inch. That’s crazy. The HTC One has a pixel density of 468, and many others out this year have not hit the 500 mark just yet.
It’s not yet confirmed when the Find 7 will be announced, but we’re betting we’ll learn more about it at CES in a couple of weeks. OPPO also states “5.5-inch screen with the feel of a 5-inch screen device”, so that pretty much tells us the Chinese OEM has worked on making the bezels as small as they can. Which is something I can definitely get behind, how about the rest of you?
So hopefully we’re looking at a nicely-sized device with a pretty big screen. We don’t know much about the other specs of this device so far. And I’m pretty confident that it’ll only be available in the US unlocked. So you’d be paying full price for it. Although if OPPO really wants to make a name for themselves, they would get the Find 7 on at least 2 carriers here in the US.
How many of you out there are anxious to see more about the OPPO Find 7? Hopefully we’ll learn more at CES, which does kick off on January 6th. And we’ll be covering it from edge-to-edge like we do every year.
