Samsung Looking to Announce a 10.5-inch Tablet At CES in January?

It’s time for the CES rumors to start floating around. CES is only a few weeks away. It officially starts on January 7th, but there’s the press day on the 5th and 6th, which will be the busiest days for us. So make sure you stay tuned to Android Headlines for all CES news in January. The latest rumor is coming out of ETNewswhich believes that Samsung will announced a 10.5-inch tablet at CES in Las Vegas. Now yesterday, we heard rumors that AT&T might be internally testing the Galaxy S5 already, and we’ve been hearing rumors for a while that Samsung may introduce the Galaxy S5 at CES. Although I don’t think that’s true.

This could be the flexible display tablet we’ve heard about as well. Back in May, we heard that Samsung was looking to produce  a “flexible” tablet. However all we really know about this tablet, is that it’s going to be a 10.5-inch AMOLED display tablet. Now AMOLED displays don’t show up on Samsung tablets much. In fact, the only tablet with an AMOLED display was the Galaxy Tab 7.7, that’s the original Galaxy Tab. It didn’t really sell too well. probably because it was running on Froyo (not optimized for a tablet) as well as being pretty highly priced. AMOLED displays are pretty expensive anyways.

It now looks like Samsung is getting ready to take the tablet market seriously. We’ve heard plenty of rumors of Samsung looking to release some AMOLED display Tablets in 2014. In fact they are supposed to announce 4 tablets by Mobile World Congress, which actually seems kind of low for Samsung. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of tablets they are. I’d like to see some more higher-end tablets from Samsung. Like the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. I’m expecting the Galaxy Note 8 to be announced in February though. Since that’s when the original was announced.
