The rumor mill just never stops churning. Once a phone is released, it stops for a day or two, then it starts spitting out rumors of another device coming soon. This time it’s the Galaxy S5, which we know is coming very soon. More than likely before the end of Q1 (the Galaxy S4 was announced in March, just a couple weeks after Mobile World Congress). We also know that Samsung is looking to release about 5 devices in Q1, and we’re expecting at least one of them to be the Galaxy S5, if not all 5 of them. Similar to what they did with the Galaxy S4 last year (Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Zoom, and Galaxy S4 Mini).
The device we’re looking at today is the SM-G900F. Which is a bit strange if it is the Galaxy S5, as in the past it’s been the GT-I9500 as the Galaxy S4, GT-I9300 as the Galaxy S3, GT-I9100 as the Galaxy S2, and so forth. Although, looking at the Galaxy Note 3’s model number, it’s pretty similar. The Galaxy Note 3 is the SM-N900. According to the benchmark, this device is set to have a 2560×1440 resolution display. But other than that, there’s not a whole lot to see from this benchmark. However it is running Chrome 28, which is a few versions behind, as we are on version 31 right now. You can check out the full benchmark here. The SM-G900F, as shown in the image above, did not beat the Galaxy Note 3 on AT&T nor the Apple iPhone 5S. It scored a 3303.88 on Browsermark, which is right in the middle of the unlocked Galaxy Note 3 and the AT&T Galaxy Note 3. Pretty interesting if you ask me.
So far we don’t know much about the Galaxy S5, but you can rest assured that it’ll have all the top-of-the-line specs, along with a new version of Touchwiz, and likely Android 4.4 – KitKat as well. Who’s excited for the Samsung Galaxy S5?
