The first of the year means price adjustments for the Canadian carriers. Following the other Canadian cell companies – Koodo, TELUS, and Rogers – Bell Mobility is now making some adjustments to its plans monthly fees for their postpaid customers. In keeping with Koodo that we reported on the other day, Bell has increased some of its plans by $5 and others were decreased by $5. Bell’s Voice and Data Lite 50 and Lite 60 monthly plans were each increased by $5 – and one of its Voice and Data Plus plans was decreased by $5 a month, with all plans including the usual unlimited text, picture, video messaging, voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, and three-way calling. There is also unlimited access to Canada’s largest wi-fi network, including participating McDonald’s, Tim Hortons, Indigo, and Chapters locations. The complete details of the three plans are as follows: The Voice and Data Lite Promo 50 at $50 per month will up your 150 nationwide anytime talk minutes to unlimited and your normal 200MB per monthly data increases to 1GB of data.
The Voice and Data Lite Promo 60 at $60 per month will give you 1000 nationwide anytime minutes and 500MB per monthly data. The Voice and Data Plus Promo 70 at $70 per month, which replaces the Voice and Data Plus 75 plan, will give you unlimited nationwide anytime minutes and 500MB of data per month. Their other, more expensive plans are also offering some promos as well. Another bonus Bell is offering on either the Lite or Plus plans is the one-time $35 connection charge is now only $15 if you sign a 2-year contract – this is a limited time offer, and no timeframe was announced. Another extra Bell is offering – add a family member or device to your plan and get 50-percent off for two months.
