Cobra Electronics is a pretty popular manufacturer for creating mobile and navigation accessories. Two of the new devices that Cobra Electronics is showing off this week in CES are the Cobra AirWave Mini and the AirWave Box. The original AirWave was shown off at CTIA in 2013, but these new AirWaves are a bit different. Not only do they receive audio via a Bluetooth connection, but they also play it as well. Cobra has stated that the AirWave Mini will be available in February for about $40, and it’s a pretty rugged, weatherproof design. The box also has a durable construction with a soft-touch rubber exterior, but as expected, it can be fully dunked underwater as well. It will go for $80 and will be available in March. Both Bluetooth speakers are being stated as having 10 hours of playback time and about 120 hours of standby time.
Cobra has also announced a couple of solar-powered mobile device chargers which are known as the Cobra CPP 100 and CPP 300. Both chargers have a 6,000mAh battery inside, the CPP100 has an USB and a MicroUSB port along with an LED indicator that displays the battery’s status. On the other hand, the CPP 300 features an LCD battery status indicator as well as USB and microUSB outlets and a built-in outlet plug. Users will be able to purchase the CPP 100 and CPP 300 in February for $49.95 and $79.95 respectively.
The final product that Cobra is showing off at CES this week is the JumPack, which is an emergency powerpack with a built-in flashlight. It’s set to launch in April for $129.95, the JumPack can jump-start car batteries as well as smartphones and other electronic devices. It does feature an LED battery status indicator, a 7,500mAh battery and a USB outlet. It also has a 200A starting current and a 400A peak current.
