Lenovo Announces the 19.5-inch N308 Android Tablet

Lenovo announced a rather large Android tablet this evening in Las Vegas. The Lenovo N308 is a 19.5-inch Android tablet. It’s sporting a 19.5-inch LED HD+ 1600×900 resolution display. It’s featuring the NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, which means it’s got a 72-core GPU. There’s also 2GB of DDR3 RAM included. Lenovo has included 320GB or 500GB storage and 8GB/16GB eMMC storage. There’s also two USB 2.0 ports, a 6-in-1 card reader, microphone, headphone, and LAN. There are built-in stereo speakers as well as Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band WiFi 802.11 b/g/n networks. The battery is rather small actually, lasting only about 3 hours. But I don’t see many people carrying this large tablet around anyways. I see it more as a desktop. The N308 also has a 720p webcam, and it weighs a little over ten pounds. The dimensions is 19.24 x 12.72 x 1.3 inches.

It’s a really nice tablet, well desktop. It also allows you to use all the apps from G00gle Play and Amazon’s App Store. The starting price for the Lenovo N308 si about $450. Which actually really isn’t bad at all. Seeing as most other Android tablets are around $500. It is running Android 4.2 – Jelly Bean, and I’d bet that there is an update to KitKat coming soon. At least I hope there is. The tablet does come with a full-sized keyboard and mouse. The N308 can be adjusted to lay flat on the table to play games as well. Which is a nice thing, and reminds me of their Yoga line of convertibles and Android tablets.

Lenovo states that the N308 will be available in February with models starting at $450. It will be available from major retailers including their own website. They didn’t say exactly where it would be available, so I’d expect it to be available here in the US and Europe as well. Unlike their smartphones they announced last week.
