No matter who you’re rooting for this Sunday in Superbowl XLVIII, which takes place at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, one thing’s certain. You’re going to need some apps, maybe some games, and definitely some gear to show off your support for your favorite team. Whether that be the AFC Champion Denver Broncos, or the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. Or you could be like me and wear a Tom Brady jersey even though he and the Patriots didn’t make it to the Superbowl this year.
We’ve broken this down into three categories. We’ve got a few apps, then some games, and lastly some gear that you may want to pick up for the big game.
Apps
Dominos Pizza
This is by far one of my most favorite apps on the Play Store. The Dominos App allows you to go ahead and order your pizza from your phone or tablet without having to talk to anyone. You can also track your order, which is pretty awesome too. If you’re getting it delivered, you’ll be able to see when the delivery guy leaves Dominos and what their name is and more. It’s a pretty awesome app. Grab it from Google Play!
Uber
Uber is a pretty unique app as well. It allows you to request a ride, usually a cab or taxi, and you’ll be picked up within minutes. It’s available in over 50 cities and in 20 different countries. The app also allows you to compare rates for different vehicles, so you can get the best ride. You can also pay for your ride through the app, using Google Wallet, your credit card, Paypal, and many other services. Grab it from Google Play!
B-Dubs
Who doesn’t love some Buffalo Wild Wings? If you’re looking for some good food, or a place to watch the game on Sunday, B-Dubs has you covered. With their app you are able to find the closest Buffalo Wild Wings and even get directions. Although you can’t order from the app like you can with the Dominos app, hopefully they add that functionality really soon. Grab it from Google Play!
Super Bowl 2014
This is actually a pretty simple app, it curates pictures and videos taken from the Superbowl festivities and puts them all into one app. Nothing super special about this app, but it’s definitely a nice one to have on your phone or tablet leading up to the big game. Grab it from Google Play!
NFL Mobile
Of course we had to add NFL Mobile to the list. All the stats, pictures, videos, standings and so much more for the National Football League all right here in NFL Mobile, as well as the ability to watch the Superbowl from your phone or tablet. It was just recently updated with a ton of Superbowl XLVIII content as well. Grab it from Google Play!
Games
NFL Runner: Football Dash
Who doesn’t love an endless runner? Especially when it’s NFL-themed? This game is free, but with in-app purchases. You can run through the game with any of the 32 NFL teams. It’s also just been updated to include Pro bowl and Super Bowl content. Which is nice to have this time of year. Grab it from Google Play!
NFL Pro 2013
Here’s a more traditional NFL game, this one is from Gameloft. Where you can play as one of your favorite NFL teams and lead them to the big game in February. It is a free-to-play game which also has in-app purchases, which seems to be all the rage these days. Gameloft also has a new team management system in the new version of NFL Pro, which is always awesome. Grab it from Google Play!
Madden NFL 25
Who doesn’t love some Madden? Electronic Arts has been making the Madden franchise forever, and I think it’s one of their better games. This one is the 25th anniversary edition which came out last fall. In the game you can lead your favorite team to Superbowl XLVIII, as well as make trades and draft players to make your dream team. There are in-app purchases as expected with a free game. Grab it from Google Play!
Gear
Super Bowl XLVIII Official Game Program
This is bound to be a collectors edition, but we’ve got the game program that is being sold at the stadium on Sunday. This is the Holographic limited edition version and it’s for sale for about $23. Which isn’t bad since it is a limited edition. For those that can’t make it to Metlife stadium for the game, this is a great thing to pick up.
