Featured: Top 10 Best Fitness Activity Trackers

It’s a new year, and as usual a lot of people are looking to lose weight in 2014. And we’re here to try and help you with that. There are many activity trackers out there to help track how much you’re walking or how many calories you’re taking in. Although most of them are from the likes of Jawbone and Fitbit. However there are some others out there that are included in this list. Hopefully one of these will help keep your New Years resolution of staying fit or getting fit in 2014.

10. Nike+ Fuelband SE Sportband

Many of you are probably wondering why the Nike+ Fuelband is number 10 on our list. Well it’s because Nike seems to think Android users don’t matter. Saying they can’t build an app and do wireless syncing because of Bluetooth 4.0 LE not being available When it actually is. But you can still use a Nike+ Fuelband, you’ll just have to go ahead and manually sync it with your computer. I know it’s not the best idea, but it works.

9. Withings Pulse Wireless Activity Tracker

Many of you may not have heard of Withings before, but they have a few activity trackers out there. This one wirelessly syncs with your devices. It can also track steps, elevation, distance and calories burned. It also can get your heart rate, as well as monitor your sleeping. It’s actually a really nice health monitor.

8. Fitbit One Wireless Activity Plus Sleep Tracker

This was one of Fitbit’s first activity trackers on the market. It runs for under $100 but it does not automatically sync wirelessly. Which is why it’s sitting at #8 on the list. But it can, however, track your steps, distance, calories burned, stairs climbed as well as your sleeping patterns. And how well you slept. You can set goals, view progress and earn badges as well.

7. Polar Loop Activity Tracker

The Polar Loop activity tracker, is probably something you haven’t heard of before. But it can be worn on your wrist and track your activity 24/7. It also provides guidance and motivation to reach your activity goals. It’ll show your daily activity, calories burned, steps taken, time of day and activity feedback on 85 LED display. It also monitors your sleep. The battery is said to last about 5 days, which is pretty good.

6. Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker

Here’s another one from Fitbit, which you’re going to see quite a few from Fitbit on this list since they have so many different trackers. This one is the Fitbit Zip, and is actually the cheapest one that they have. It can clip onto your belt and track your steps, distance and calories burned. It does sync automatically to Bluetooth 4.0 enabled smartphones and tablets.

5. UP by Jawbone

Here’s a great tracker from Jawbone. They do have another model, which is further down on our list. But the UP is still a great tracker. It will last about 10 days of use before needing to be charged. It can track your sleep, your activity and much more. It also allows you to log what you eat, and drink. There’s also a free app that comes with the Jawbone UP.

4. Samsung Galaxy Gear

This one might surprise you. But the Galaxy Gear is a sort of activity tracker. Since it does have S Health built in, which does automatically sync to your Samsung device (Galaxy S3, S4, Galaxy Note 2, Note 3, and Note 10.1 2014 Edition are currently supported). It also functions as a smartwatch, which is a great thing.

3. Fitbit Flex Wireless Activity and Sleep Wristband

The Fitbit Flex it one of Fitbit’s newer activity trackers. This one is on sale now for about $90 on Amazon with Amazon Prime shipping. It tracks your steps, distance, calories burned, your sleep habits and much more. It also automatically syncs to your phone and tablet, if they are supported, by using Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy.

2. UP24 by Jawbone

This is Jawbone’s new activity tracker. It does do auto-sync over Bluetooth 4.0 unlike the original UP from Jawbone, which you had to go ahead and sync manually everyday. Which was kind of a pain.

1. Fitbit Force Wireless Activity and Sleep Wristband

Now this one is my favorite. Because not only does it track the usual steps, distance, calories burned, etc., but it also has the time on the display. Which the Flex doesn’t really have a display at all. It also allows you to charge the Force without having to remove the Fitbit from the wristband, which you have to do on the Flex.
