Fugoo has just announced a new line of Bluetooth Speakers at CES. These new Fugoo speakers use a unique “Core + Jacket” design that pairs advanced audio technology housed in a robust “core” with an interchangeable outer “jacket”. The models Fugoo has announced today is the Fugoo Style, Sport, and Tough. They are all dust proof, snow proof, and dirt proof. Rated IP67. It’s also waterproof to 3 feet for 30 minutes. The drivers on these Bluetooth speakers face all directions for 360-degree sound, there’s also 8-degree upward tilt of speakers for better dispersion. Sound volume goes up to 95 dB. Now here’s my favorite spec of these new speakers. Fugoo touts that these speakers will last about 40 hours of continuous playback, and that’s at 50-percent loudness. That is insane. Before the Fugoo, the Bluetooth speaker with the best battery life that I had used was the Ultimate Ears Boom speakers, which was 15 hours. The Fugoo Bluetooth speakers crush that 15 hours.
The Fugoo Bluetooth speakers also have a microUSB port to charge the device, of course. Fugoo states that it takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge the speakers, which is pretty quick I think. It does support Bluetooth 4.0, but it doesn’t appear to have NFC for pairing. However, it does support Bluetooth SMART for wireless remote control with Google Now. Now that’s pretty cool.
As far as pricing and availability goes, it’ll be available from Fugoo’s website this month and start at $199. You can see more pictures of all three speakers in the gallery down below. I’m actually really interested to see these speakers from Fugoo, and hopefully we can get a review unit pretty soon. I mean 40 hours of battery life is pretty insane for some Bluetooth speakers. How many of you are excited to check out these new Fugoo speakers, the Style, Sport and Tough speakers? Let us know in the comments down below.
