Back at CES 2014, shortly after Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, 10.1, 12.2, and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Logitech went ahead and and announced a new case for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, which includes a Bluetooth Keyboard. It’s up for pre-order from Gearzap right now for about £109.99. Which translates to about $182.70 USD. Which is a lot of money, but then again, the Galaxy Tab Pro and Note Pro 12.2’s are supposedly going to be going for nearly $1500. But keep in mind the official pricing isn’t out yet, that’s just leaked pricing we saw last week. However, checking out Logitech’s website, this case is going for $129.99, but of course it’s not quite available just yet.
This case turns your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 or Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 into a laptop, sort of. It also has a dual-stand view, so you can stand it up for watching videos or typing up an email using the Bluetooth keyboard. It also provides extended battery life, which we kind of expected with how big this case is and the price for it. It also features the SecureLock system, so you don’t have to worry about your tablet falling out of the case. Which is something we definitely don’t want to happen.
The Logitech Pro can deliver up to three months of battery from a single charge. Now I’m assuming they mean standby here. But the keyboard case is charged using the included USB cable and can be charged from a USB adapter, computer or laptop. The Logitech Pro also has a lightweight clip on the sides, which keep the corners of your tablet firmly fastened to the frame, thanks to the SecureLock System.
You can pre-order yours now from GearZap if you happen to be in the UK (although they will ship out to the US), or you can grab yours from Logitech once they go on sale later this quarter. How many of you are planning on picking up the Galaxy Note Pro or Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2?
