Google likes to throw random deals out to its Google Play Store users. We’ve seen previous sales on games and movies, as well as music. Today we are seeing a great deal on a bunch of fantastic albums, some classic and some more recently released. We’re talking about Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind,’ the first full length release from The Velvet Underground, 2Pac’s ‘All Eyez On Me,’ and ‘Funeral’ from Arcade Fire. These are whole albums, too, not just a single track or album preview. You get the whole shebang for a mere $0.99.
When you first navigate to this Google Play Music page, it looks the like albums are regularly priced. The message at the top of the page says that all you have to do is click on the regular price and you’ll see it drop to $0.99. You can only purchase up to 5 albums at the discounted price, though. You’ll also have to wait for an email from Google, letting you know that the promotion is live for you. If you haven’t received the promotion email from Google, you’ll only see, and pay, the regular price for the album.
Google really wants users to start using Google Play Music. I’m an All Access subscriber, and I love it. I have a library of public playlists that I have built and can stream anytime, anywhere, as long as I have a data connection. These Play Music store deals are an awesome way to add some of these iconic albums to your own library. Kanye West’s ‘The College Dropout,’ greatest hits collections from James Brown, Al Green and Bob Marley, and more music from Elton John, KISS, Coldplay, Tim McGraw, you name it. Whatever genres of music you enjoy, whatever big artists you like to listen to, a ton of them are represented here for $0.99. This deal is only available for those Google users who have received an email notifying them of it, so check your inbox and get to downloading (up to 5) great albums!
