Leak: Samsung's New Life Times Application, Possibly For Galaxy S5?

Samsung loves to launch their flagship smartphones with new applications, always looking to enhance the user’s experience with their devices. Many times they go overboard and offer so many features that most users will never even find them, let a lone use them. However, with each release they usually try to put together a really special application with each launch – their last attempt was with Story Album. Well, our friends over at SamMobile got their hands on a new app called Samsung Life Times, most likely to include on their Galaxy S5 due to launch this Spring. They were able to share some screenshots with us and they say that it even follows Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat design rules – Samsung is being so co-operative with Google lately, we wonder why?

Samsung Life Times would fall into a diary-type application that collects information from a variety of applications that you get to selection from – for example, you can choose from the Camera, Email, Your Location, Memos, Text Messages, Music, Phone, and even S-Health.  It will also gather information from your social media apps like Facebook, FourSquare, Google+, Instagram, and Linkedin.  By feeding all of this information into Life Times, it will create a “diary” of your life or of a particular event.

I am not sure this is something you would want to use all of the time, however, if you were going on a vacation, a special event, of a family gathering, it might be a way that Life Times could work in the background to automatically gather remembrances of that special time.  Life Times is certainly similar to Samsung’s Story Book, but has more features and will follow Google’s new design rules.  There is no indication whether Life Times will supplement Story Album or replace it altogether – personally I think Life Times would be enough.

Let us know on our Google+ Page if Samsung’s Life Times is something that you believe you would use or just a waste of space on your smartphone. Do you now use or have you ever used Samsung’s Story Book, or do you prefer to create your own story without all of the “hookups” to the other programs.
