Looking for a portable USB Adapter? Look No Further than the Nomad ChargeKey, Fits on your Key Ring

Nomad has actually made some rather interesting devices in the past. There’s the ChargeCard USB device, which is a very small card (about the size of a credit card) that fits in your wallet that can charge your phone or tablet on the go. There’s also the 3-inch Lightning cable, but as we are not really Apple users we haven’t really looked at that. However, today Nomad announced their newest product. This is the ChargeKey. It’s a very tiny cable adapter, about the size of a regular key. Basically what the ChargeKey allows you to do is plug it into your phone and the other end into a USB port. So if you’re at work and need to charge your phone, you don’t need to worry about carrying around your charger. Just simply bring your keys.

The ChargeKey is able to output up to 3.1 amps of power and does support USB 2.0. For those worried about the middle part getting bent or something, Nomad says that the middle is made of rubber and is made for that. Nomad is touting it as being quite long-lasting. Nomad is even offering a full life-time warranty on the ChargeKey. We love life-time warranties right?

Nomad has both a Lightning-to-USB(for those with iOS devices) and the USB-to-Micro-USB adapters, both of which are priced at $25. However they are out of stock at this time. So we can’t quite pick some up right now. Hopefully they’ll be available shortly. As I’m sure these are going to come in handy. I know I’d pick one up just to have it, even though my phone does normally last the full day.

How many of you out there are interested in the Nomad ChargeKey? Are you going to pick one up when they are finally available? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
