SanDisk’s wireless flash drive is a pretty good solution for devices without removable storage. Now I’m one of those that thinks we don’t need removable storage. However, SanDisk is helping solve the problem of no microSD card on many devices. In fact, I think Samsung is the only one that still has them in their devices. Those of you with a Nexus 5, Moto X, HTC One or many other devices without removable storage, are going to love this flash drive form Sandisk.
It’s a wireless flash drive, so it doesn’t even need to be connected to your device, just on the same WiFi network. There’s no cables needed either. Previously, SanDisk had the 16GB and 32GB models available and now they’ve announced the 64GB version. This wireless flash drive can connect with up to eight devices at once, but it isn’t without their drawbacks. The device does function as a Wifi hotspot. So you won’t need internet connectivity while you’re using it. And you can share content with your other devices on the same network.
This flash drive can support up to thee simultaneous media streams and run for roughly four hours between charges. SanDisk also has their own companion app in the Play Store that you will need to download to get it running smoothly. You can grab the app from here, and we have links to the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models down below for you to pick up.
How many of you are looking to pick up one of these Wireless USB flash drives from SanDisk? Or would you rather have a microSD card in your phone or tablet? I think this is a better idea, because you don’t have to worry about losing the small microSD card. And you can use it on multiple devices at once.
