If you felt that there wasn’t an innovative and unique new way to answer or respond to calls, well then you and Shaquille O’Neal would share a similar set of thoughts and ideals. Shaq, who is a newly announced brand ambassador for TIP solutions is helping to promote their Android app, which was just updated to version 2.0. The app is titled CallSnap, and it’s an innovative and fun new way to answer or respond to calls, or a great alternative to answering a call if you’re not able to take the call in the first place. The app was originally launched as a photo-sharing app, that would allow you to share your experiences with callers, with fun and lively images. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is what CallSnap has aimed to do. Instead of picking up a phone call to talk and discuss “what’s going on,” you can simply use CallSnap to share a photo of what you’re doing which would pretty much sum everything up. When asked why he wanted to promote and become a “Brand Ambassador” for CallSnap, Shaq simply responded that “The mobile experience has not changed very much over the last ten years, and TIP Solutions will impact how the world will answer a phone call” Although we’re not too sure about the first part of that statement, we agree that TIP will be changing the way people answer phone calls.
CallSnap is bringing Android users a whole new way to show and tell, because simply answering the phone call is not enough. Besides snapping the photo and sending it as a call response, you can also utilize the feature added into version 2.0 of the app, which lets you record an instant voice message instead. Perhaps sharing an image for a call response just isn’t your thing, or maybe it would just be quicker to record a tiny sound bite. Either way, you can send the voice message as a response and it’s almost like you were on the call. If you’re too busy to do either of those two features, you can simply pick a pre-loaded photo from the CallSnap gallery that explains why you can’t come to the phone. Simple, quick, easy, and fun.
Now that version 2.0 is live, upon receiving an incoming call you can slide your finger to the left of the screen to respond with a CallSnap image, or to the right if you wish to respond with an instant voice message. Sliding to the right declines the call, which then leads you to the voice message recording screen. Once the message is recorded, it gets sent out to the caller and that’s it. You’ve just successfully used CallSnap. It’s worth noting that audio messages are sent out as Text or Multimedia messages, so the person who will be receiving it will need to have a message plan.
