Featured Review: Converge Universal USB Docking Station

If you’re like me, you probably have a lot of devices that you need to charge on a daily basis. The Quirky Converge Universal USB Docking Station is a great way to charge multiple devices at once. It’s a great dock for charging up to 4 devices at once. As you can see in the image above, I was using it to charge the LG G Flex and the Sony RX100. Obviously I was using the LG G2 to take the picture, or I would have had that on the dock as well. On the back of the docking station there are 4 USB ports to plug in your chargers. which you feed into the front of the docking station. It’s a big of a mess at first, but then again you probably won’t be looking at the back of the docking station much anyways.

As far as the size of the docking station goes, it’s actually pretty small, it sits on my desk beside my monitor so I can just set my phone(s) on there and charge them real quick, which is really convenient. This docking station really makes me wish that wireless charging was more mainstream than it is currently. You can use this docking station for more than just phones and tablets. You can use it for just about anything, as long as you can plug it into a USB port. So that includes cameras, smartphones, tablets, and everything in between.

For charging time, it is a bit slower than plugging it in to your outlet directly. It was especially noticeable on the LG G Flex and LG G2, since they have such large batteries. That’s really the only downside, besides getting the cables to fit in the right places. The Quirky Converge Universal USB Docking Station is available from Gearzap for just £39.95 which translates to about $66. Which is kinda pricey, but not much more than a regular dock that fits one device. So it’s really not that bad of a price. It’s also available from Amazon for $58.79.
