Leaks and rumors just keep coming for the HTC M8. The newest Flagship from HTC and the successor to last years HTC One, has smiled for the camera on more than one occasion, like in yesterdays images from a Russian mobile site. This time though the images come from a well known credible source when it comes to leaks, none other than @evleaks himself. The image is only of a screenshot rather than the whole device from a front or back perspective, and it gives us a glimpse at what to expect the new version of Blink Feed to look like on the upcoming M8. Nicely incorporated Kit Kat styled design is present and you can see the white theme color we know of Kit kat in the status bar, You’ll also notice the on screen navigation buttons at the bottom.
The UI based nav buttons only further to legitimize the claims about HTC’s decision to do away with the physical keys on the front face, or rather the soft keys we saw on the HTC One from last year. This type of style is more in line with what Google wants for the Android design guidelines, and while not everyone will be happy about this change, others will be likely ecstatic that HTC has chosen to go this route. The overall design of Blink Feed looks cleaner and more sleek, and the transparency is something we like to see as well.
The rumors are that the HTC M8 will launch sometime in late March, and will receive its unveiling in NYC. If this is true we still have a little over a month to go before we actually see the phone in all it’s glory, but getting a look at the home screen is nice and we’ll take what we can get. What do you guys think about the new design for Blink Feed on the HTC M8? @evleaks is usually spot on with leaks and rumors, so while this is unconfirmed, it’s probably safe to say this is what Blink Feed will look like. Are you happy about the changes? Or would rather have preferred that HTC stuck with the way things were?
