HTC Netherlands Director Says The HTC M8 Images Are Photoshopped

We’ve been seeing lots of leaks of what the HTC M8 is supposedly going to look like. We have already heard from @Evleaks that the the successor to the HTC One will look a lot like the HTC One. But the leak that popped out this morning had two cameras on the back, which you can see that at the bottom of this post. The leak was said to have dual camera’s to give you a better quality image when taking pictures, as well as enhanced depth perception and the ability to turn the user into a maestro at post production editing. But it’s a fake, so we don’t care now do we?

According to Mark Moons, who is the HTC Director for the Netherlands region, this is a fake image. Or as he says “Somebody has been photo shopping….”. There could still be dual-cameras and/or dual-flash on the HTC M8, but as far as this picture is concerned it’s a photoshopped fake. Which we are fine with, as it didn’t look all that good, to us  at least.

So far we don’t know much concrete about the HTC M8, but we do know it’s coming soon. As the HTC One was announced in February last year, we were expecting another February launch this year, but the latest rumors are pointing to a March announcement. Which means it would be after the Galaxy S5, which isn’t good for the struggling Taiwanese manufacturer. We have heard that HTC is bumping up the display to a 5-inch 1080p, and keeping the front-facing speakers for (what I think is) their best feature – BoomSound. We’ve also heard there will be a “better” UltraPixel camera. Now I’m hoping that means higher pixel count, like maybe a 8MP UltraPixel camera? Otherwise, the camera performed great for me while I was reviewing it last year.

Are you happy that this is a fake HTC M8? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below.
