Sony fans got a taste of of what to expect with the upcoming Xperia Sirius the other day, when a photo that was not so clear ended up on the web for all to see. The photo in question was allegedly of the Xperia Sirius D6503, and what caught most people’s attention seem to be the barely there bezels giving the Xperia Sirius all that much more appeal. Thin bezels are a commodity when it comes to smartphones now a days, and no matter how small your smartphones bezels are, there is always someone out there with the same device that would love to have even smaller bezels. We would agree with certain devices. We’re expecting to see this phone show up at Mobile World Congress here in just a couple weeks, which isn’t much time before we dive in to the huge conference where we’ll see some great stuff come out relating to mobile tech from new phones and new tablets, to accessories and plenty more.
If the screenshots that surfaced the other day weren’t enough for you, then perhaps you’ll be satisfied with the one’s that have just popped up. These new images show the 4K video app in use, along with a couple other camera related apps and functions being utilized. The Timeshift video app and the Creative Effect camera app are also in play. The D6503 is rumored to come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat upon launch, which makes the phone that much more enticing. Sony is expected to also update existing Xperia devices with these new camera related features as well, when they get the update to Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat themselves including the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Z1 and Z1 compact. The Xperia Sirius is supposedly coming with a Snapdragon 800 processor, and a whopping 3GB of RAM, so whatever you plan on doing with the phone, there seems to be now slowing it down. Literally. 3GB of RAM is more than enough for any memory intensive apps or games to run on a device, so hopefully that particular spec pans out. Other feature specs supposedly include the 20.7 MP camera that shoots 4K video, and all those videos can be enjoyed while being played back on the decently sized 5.2 inch display. Is anyone excited to see this device from Sony? It has certainly peaked our interest.
