Lenovo Teases a New Tablet in Tweet, More Information Coming Tomorrow

Lenovo has been in the news quite a bit lately, after acquiring Motorola from Google. It appears that Lenovo has been working to become more than just a computer manufacturing company. Before Lenovo acquired Motorola, they had launched two unique Android tablets called the Lenovo Yoga 8 and the Lenovo Yoga 10. The Yoga 8 and 10 had a very interesting form factor that allowed for multiple viewing angles and doubled as an easy way to carry the device. Both devices featured a quad-core processor, 16GB internal storage, 1GB of RAM, a 1280×800 resolution and a MicroSD slot for added storage. They both also had a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera. The main difference between the two tablets was their screen and battery size. The Yoga 8 had an 8-inch screen and a 6000 mAh battery, while the Yoga 10 had a 10-inch screen and a 9000 mAh battery. Both of these tablets fared well, and were a decent price.

Many manufacturers have been leaking news and teasing devices. Today Lenovo sent out a very interesting tweet that suggested they have something new coming, as well. The tweet stated “WE’VE GOT A SECRET. What could it be? (Check back tomorrow @ 1 pm EST)”. The tweet also accompanied a picture of what looks to be a tablet. There are no other details about this mystery tablet included in the tweet. All we know for sure is that Lenovo will be announcing a tablet tomorrow afternoon. To clarify, we’re not even sure what operating system this device is running on. Lenovo didn’t even mention whether it would be Android or Windows.

This information comes to us only a few days away from MWC. If you don’t recall, many manufacturers will be announcing new devices and upcoming products in Barcelona, Spain. It seems to be that most of the action will be taking place on the 24th, which is the official start date of the event, but it looks like Lenovo might be getting a little head start. We’ll keep our eyes open for more news on this interesting mystery device. We’re also expecting to see device announcements from Sony, Motorola, Samsung and Nokia, just to name a few.
