LG Meeting with Google to Show off New Technology in Mountain View

The media over in Korea get a ton of rumors, and leaks and such from Samsung and LG. Which isn’t surprising since both of those OEMs are in Korea. According to the media in Korea, LG is looking to head to Mountain View for a 2-day trip to meet with Google at their headquarters. This is in hopes of keeping their partnership together, and continuing it. LG and Google have partnered to make the Nexus 4 in 2012, and the Nexus 5 in 2013. Both of which are great devices, and I’d personally, love to see more from LG and Google together. LG has also made the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition which is on the Play Store now.

In said meeting, LG is coming with a ton of things. They are going to be bringing things from LG Display, LG Chem, LG Electronics and LG Innotek branches of the company. This is in hopes that LG can win Google over with their newest innovations for 2014, and continue making devices for the search giant. Perhaps make the Nexus 6, or a Nexus tablet. Previously there were plenty of rumors that Google was working on a 8-inch Nexus tablet, which would be modeled after the LG G Pad 8.3. However, that turned into a Google Play Edition, so that may or may not happen now.

As many others have said recently, LG wasn’t the best, or most favorable OEM a couple years ago. But since the Optimus G was announced in 2012, along with the Nexus 4, Optimus G Pro, G2, and Nexus 5, LG has really made a great comeback, and they’ll definitely be number 2 soon if they aren’t already. I’m becoming a pretty big fan of LG right now. I’m using the LG G Flex, and while it’s pretty big, the battery life is pretty amazing.  Which is where I think more OEMs need to focus. Instead of on more pixels, or bigger phones.
