As we all know, Nokia has been purchased by Microsoft. Nokia would like to have the purchase complete before March. However, before the purchase goes through, Nokia is slated to launch the Nokia X. The Nokia X is an Android phone designed by Nokia that will supposedly be low-range in terms of specs. Current leaked specs include a small 1500 mAh battery, a 4-inch screen, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. We’re also looking at a dual-core processor, a MicroSD card slot, and a 5MP rear facing camera. At this point, we know pretty much all there is to know about the phone. We’ve even seen some leaks of the actual interface of the device, looking very similar to a Windows Phone, and we have also seen what the outside of the device will look like. Now we’re just waiting on the official word from Nokia.
However, with a new day comes a new rumor. We have just heard reports that Nokia will in fact be launching two more Android devices that are slated to be out by June. One of these devices has already been named the Nokia XX. This device is reported to have better specs than the Nokia X (hence the name), but there has been no information on what those specs are. The third Nokia phone to be released with Android on it will apparently be on the higher end of specs. The higher end Nokia Android phone is said to have “flagship specs”. If you were disappointed by the Nokia X’s specs, then you might want to hold out for the third Nokia-Android pair up. The leak comes from an internal email from Nokia. The email mentions the Nokia XX’s name, but nothing in terms of the name of the third phone.
Not much is known about these new Nokia devices, but we should be hearing more information about them in the next few months. The Nokia X is due to be announced on February 24th at MWC. It seems very unlikely that the other two Nokia devices will be announced at that time. We will just have to keep our eyes open for more information on these new rumored Nokia devices.
