Pre-Order Pricing for the Galaxy S5 in Europe Starting at €699

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is due to launch in Europe, and a bunch of other regions, on April 11th. Right now, a few retailers in Europe and the UK have put up the Galaxy S5 for pre-order for those that are interested. Right now, Clove is listing the Galaxy S5 16GB for pre-order right now, it’s priced at £550 including VAT. They are also showing the black and white versions of the Galaxy S5 as arriving on April 11th, so I’d assume the Gold and Blue variations are arriving shortly after.

Clove’s rival, Unlockd-Mobiles is listing the phone at £549.98 in black, white and blue. They are due in on April 11th as well. So Unlockd-Mobiles is really trying to get the upper hand here. Meanwhile, on Amazon in Germany and Spain the 16GB Galaxy S5 is up for pre-order for  â‚¬699 and  â‚¬729 respectively. Seems pretty expensive, compared to normal Samsung flagships. In fact, it puts the pricing right up there with the Sony Xperia Z2 pricing. Now the Xperia Z2 does have relatively the same specs, if not better specs in some people’s opinions. It’ll be going on sale in March though.

So far, the Galaxy S5 isn’t up for pre-order here in the US. On carriers or other retailers. But we’ll probably see that happen within the next few weeks as we get closer to launch. It’s going to be really interesting to see how their sales stack up this year compared to the previous years, as I’ve heard a lot of people are not happy with the Galaxy S5. But then again, these are all tech geeks like me and that’s not Samsung’s target audience, so that may not matter at all.

How many of you are getting ready to pre-order your Galaxy S5 from Clove, Unlockd-Mobiles, or Amazon right now? Let us know in the comments below.
