It seems that Verizon has a few other tablets that are joining the Nexus 7 on their network. It looks like the LG G Pad 8.3 and the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 are heading over to the nation’s largest carrier on March 6th, at least according to this leaked screenshot which Android Police has gotten their hands on. The leaked screenshot states that demo units will arrive in stores on February 25th for the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and February 26th for the LG G Pad 8.3. That’s about all we know about these tablets coming to Verizon.
As far as specs go, the LG G Pad 8.3 has a 8.3-inch 1900×1200 resolution IPS display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and a pretty large battery. It’s also running Android 4.2.2 right now, which we’re hoping gets updated to Android 4.4 pretty soon. As for the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, it’s a killer tablet. Featuring a 12.2-inch 2560×1600 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4 – KitKat, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and more. It’s definitely a high-end tablet, and you’re going to be paying quite a bit for it, as the wifi only version is selling for $750. So I’d expect for it to be around $850-900 for the LTE version. As far as the LG G Pad 8.3 goes, that’s selling for $350 for the WiFi version. So I’d expect the LTE version to go for around $400-450.
The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 was announced at CES, which would make it record timing for Verizon. As they are usually pretty slow with getting tablets out. Heck it took nearly 6 months for the Nexus 7 to be available on Verizon. And now about four months for the LG G Pad 8.3, but at least it’s coming, right?
How many of you are anxious to pick up the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 or the LG G Pad 8.3 on Verizon when it becomes available, hopefully next week? Let us know in the comments below.
