Samsung. The company whose name is literally synonymous with great Android devices is preparing to unleash yet another Galaxy Tab upon the world at large. The current version we are all sitting at is the Galaxy Tab 3, but keep in mind that has variants to it. For example, you can chose between a 7.0 (7-inch size), 8.0 (8-inch size) or 10.1 (10.1-inch size. That covers the size choices for most consumers to decide how large they want their device to be. I know, you’re probably saying what could the next Galaxy Tab have to offer or pack under the hood right? Good news for you, here is little tablet spec to wet your tech taste buds until Samsung officially announces the latest Galaxy Tab device.
The latest snippet to come to the surface is the fact that the aptly named, yet unannounced, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (SGT4 8.0) will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. This information can now be confirmed as there has been a recent benchmark test showing that the new tablet does sport a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. However, the benchmark test found on GFXBench, reveals a few other cool nuggets as well. The model CPU is a Snapdragon 400 MSM-8926 with Adreno 305 GPU. That should bring enough processing power to hammer away at all the great Android apps available. We can gather that Samsung will release a SGT4 7.0 model and a 10.1 model as was the case with the Galaxy Tab 3 release.
The benchmark also shows that the device tested was the SM-T335. This is more than likely the LTE network capable 8.0 model. The report also shows another model, the SM-T337V tablet. The document this shows up on is a WiFi certification and due to the fact that models in the past with a V at the end denoted a Verizon slated device, we can deduce this is the 8.0 model that is probably be headed to Verizon’s network. We believe that Samsung will have a lot to announce at Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month and we think these devices will be among the list of reveals. Stay tuned in and locked to Android Headlines for more news and reviews as it comes available for this device and more.
