Despite Sony’s attempts to try and stem the flood of leaks surrounding their current upcoming phone – or any phone of theirs for that matter – it doesn’t seem to be working as the D6503, or the Sirius as it’s also known, has leaked out a lot already. Rumored for an announcement at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Running Android 4.4 KitKat and some of the best specs out there, this seems to be yet another evolution of the Xperia Z that debuted at 2013’s CES, much like the Xperia Z1 S that’s on T-Mobile right now. These leaks are telling us a good number of things, that the display is going to hit 5.2-inches and the the overall design isn’t going to have changed all that much since the Xperia Z1 last year.
Now, we’re getting a look at the black and white versions of Sirius, as seen above, the leaker from Digi Wo says that the device might also eschew the Sony logo on the included screen protector as well. Sony has gotten pretty colorful with their latest devices, such as the Xperia Z1 Compact, but we’re unsure as to whether or not the Sirius will be available in anything more than just black and white. Hopefully, Sony has learnt their lessons with their previous high-end flagships and the Sirius isn’t going to be another device they release simply for the sake of it.
Specs wise, the Sirius is shaping up to be an impressive device with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a Snapdragon 800, that might be clocked higher than other Snapdragon 800s that are included in the very top-end devices these days. We guess the question now however, will the D6503 pose a big enough improvement on the Xperia Z1 to get people to upgrade? After all, Sony has made a name for themselves releasing device after device in order to try and gain more sales. Hopefully Sony up their game a little with this latest device though – we’re certainly looking forward to it, what about you guys?
