SwiftKey Giving Free Keyboard App To Nokia X Devices

When a new device hits the market, especially one made by Nokia with a “twisted” Android Operating System, you never know what the keyboard experience will be like – you may love it or you may want to swap it out with a third-party option. Since SwiftKey is the world’s fastest and smartest predictive keyboard for Android devices, bar-none, you may want to download and use it on your new Nokia X smartphone. Especially since SwiftKey has made the announcement that they will offer a FREE SwiftKey App for all Nokia X owners. It will also use the SwiftKey Cloud to back up your typing history patterns and also looks for popular phrases from the social networks. This is normally a $3.99 purchase in the Google Play Store, so the Nokia X owners are getting a nice bargain with nothing to lose – try SwiftKey out and if you do not like, just remove it and go back to your stock keyboard.

Until we can get a hold of a Nokia X to try out the keyboard, or read about other reviews since it will not be sold in the U.S., we really do not know how well the stock keyboard will work, but it is nice to know that a quality replacement is available if needed. SwiftKey is scary accurate once it “learns” your personal typing habits – the words or phrases that you type most often. There are times when SwiftKey will predict an entire sentence of several words just by me selecting the first word and this makes typing on SwiftKey so fast. With the SwiftKey Cloud, your predictions personal words are carried across and remembered on all of your devices.

One of my biggest complaints was that it did not have a separate row of number keys, but that was corrected in the latest version and until you use the keyboard for a few days or a couple of weeks, its autocorrect will make a lot of mistakes. However, once it gets to “know” you and learns what words you like to use – even the occasionally used or often used curse words – you will be able to complete sentences as fast as you can type a few letters.

Let us know on our Google+ Page if you use SwiftKey and what you think of it – I really believe any Nokia X, X+, or XL owners will be glad they gave SwiftKey a test drive.
