Amazon Appstore Turns 3, Gives Away 14 Free Apps and Games

If you can believe it Amazon launched their very own Appstore 3 years ago, and it’s celebrating that launch by giving away some free stuff.  Amazon’s Appstore, for those unaware of its existence, is an alternative place to get your apps instead of Google Play.  While Amazon’s Appstore doesn’t have nearly as many apps as Google Play, they definitely do one thing better than Google: sales.  Considering Amazon’s pedigree as a online retail giant, it makes sense for them to have such a store and offer sales and special offers from time to time, and this is no exception.  Today’s deals are worth over $50, but if you head on over to the sale page you can grab them all for free.

Polaris Office, which is normally worth $12.99, is a mobile Microsoft Office-style app that gives you full access to view and edit nearly any Office document on your phone or tablet.  Runstatic PRO, normally worth $4.99, helps tracks your daily running routine and share it with your friends.  Swype Keyboard, normally $3.99, is a fantastic replacement for the keyboard that comes stock on your device and may prove to be your new daily use keyboard.  mSecure, normally worth $9.99, is a password manager and digital wallet to help you keep track of the important things you really can’t afford to forget.  Sketchbook Pro, normally $4.99, is a fantastic way to draw on your phone or tablet and works best when paired with a stylus or S-Pen on Galaxy Note devices.  Finally to end the app list if PrintHand Mobile, normally $12.95, which gives you full print access on your non-KitKat device (since KitKat has printing built in of course).

As far as games there’s a plethora of titles available.  These games range from $0.99 to $10.00 in value and include Worms2: Armageddon both regular and Kindle editions, King of Math Junior, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, Dr. Panda’s Airport, Monopoly, Ski Safari: Adventure Time, SpinArt and Battle Maiden Yuko Runner.  All of these games should be compatible with your phone or tablet, so head on over to the Amazon Appstore, grab the app and get downloading!
