Aviate Launcher Adds Custom Icon Packs like Lumos and Flatee

Aviate has updated their launcher to add support for custom icon packs now. Which means – like most other launchers – you can use your favorite icon pack on Aviate now. Aviate has made it pretty easy to set a new icon pack as well. Simply swipe into the Spaces menu in Aviate, and jump into Settings. You’ll see a new option that says “Set Icon Pack” so then you can simply just tap on your icon pack you have installed and you’re all set.

Aviate also mentioned that icon packs that are compatible with our favorite launchers like ADW, Apex, and Nova are all supported. So there are plenty of icon packs on the Play Store you can use with Aviate now. Obviously this is a pretty big enhancement for Aviate, as many of us really love our icon packs. And Aviate was already a pretty awesome launcher, even if they are owned by Yahoo now.

For those that aren’t aware, Aviate automatically brings you weather and the meetings for the day, and when you’re at work it shows you all the apps you use when your at work, and when you get home it shows you the apps you use at home. It’s actually really cool. And it gets better the more you use it. It’s kinda like Google Now, but for all your apps. And ironically, it was made by some ex-Googlers that worked on Google Now. So I wonder where they got the idea? It’s a very simple launcher with a clean design, and if you haven’t already tried it out, I suggest you do so. As it’s pretty amazing.

And now you can use icon packs like Flatee – my personal favorite right now – and Lumos, and hundreds of others out there. How many of you are still using Aviate? Are you excited by this news?
