It seems HTC is just as eager to show off the All New One as we are to see it, because here they are officially showing off the name for the upcoming device in an ad that is placed somewhere in London. Here at Android Headlines, we’re just as excited as anyone else to see this baby unveiled officially, and more importantly, how it works first hand. Now all that remains is to get our resident Brit Tom Dawson over to London to pose for a selfie in front of this ad, then we’ll see if it can become more viral than the image taken by Ellen at last nights Academy Awards show. HTC isn’t trying to hide much here, they’re coming right out and saying “this is it, the name is official”. It’s kind of like they’re attempting to dangle the phone in front of us. How well is it working since we already saw plenty of the phone last night though?
It appears that the image ad is placed in front of one of London’s most high-end department stores called Selfridges, on Oxford Street. So for anyone who lives in the area, if you wanted to go take a look at this ad in person you know where to go. Just break out your Android smartphone and open up walking directions in Maps and you’re good to go. HTC UK made this image public via their Twitter account, stating along with the image that “something is happening in Selfridges”, followed by the date that their big press event is scheduled to take place which is March 25th for those of you that may still not know, and a polite request to “save the date”. It might have been more ironic for them to make a short little video out of this and then post it up to YouTube, but, c’est la vie.
So when paired with last night’s video of the phone, and the FCC filing popping up from earlier this afternoon, does the trio do much to excite the world of Android enthusiasts? There are still some intriguing details that aren’t known about the device, so HTC must have something cool planned for the event. Perhaps that is just our wishful thinking.
