There’s almost nothing about the HTC One 2014 that we don’t already know. It’s been leaked numerous times already, and we’ve also already seen a few hands-on videos of the device, thanks to not-s0-careful “testers”. Now we’re seeing the HTC One 2014 going through China’s TENAA, which is basically their FCC, for approval. Which this listing basically confirms a lot of stuff we already knew, but also finishes the rest of the bits and pieces here.
This certification brings in some new information for the HTC One, specifically about the camera which is what we all want to know about since that’s been the big “secret” about the device. But according to these documents we’re looking at a 4-megapixel front-facing camera. Which isn’t too bad. But on the rear we’re looking at a 16-megapixel camera. Now I’m assuming that the top camera is a 16-MP shooter as there is still an UltraPixel sensor on the back, which is probably around 4 or 5 megapixels in size.
Otherwise the specs look a lot like any other early-2014 flagship. Complete with a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.4.2 – KitKat on board. Of course we’ll learn more of the specifics next week when HTC makes the HTC One 2014 official. But we are likely to see even more leaks of the HTC One 2014 later this week too. Especially since HTC will be selling the One 2014 on the day of the announcement, at least in Carphone Warehouse in the UK. Hopefully it’ll be the same elsewhere in the world too, like the US. I think that’d be a pretty big deal for HTC, especially launching on the US carriers the same day as announcement.
How many of you out there are excited about the HTC One 2014, and it being announced next week? Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.
