Now that the calendar has ticked into March, there’s only a few weeks left to wait until the March 25th reveal of the all new HTC One. That gives HTC a few more weeks to tease us over YouTube and Twitter and despite the fact that some enterprising folk already have their hands on the new device, the rest of us will have to wait and see what’s in store for the all new HTC One. In their latest fun-loving teaser in their Technical Translations line of YouTube videos, HTC is talking Metal, and no, we’re not talking the Death Magentic type of Metal, but rather we’re talking about build-quality.
Regardless of where you stand in the great “plastic vs premium” debate, there’s no denying that the HTC One was a well-built device that not only looked and felt the part, but held up well in real world situations. We already know that the Taiwanese company is taking more of an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach with their new HTC One, so it’s of no surprise that the new HTC One is to be built in much the same manner as the original. The YouTube video (which you’ll find below) talks of a metal build with some sort of finish applied to it. From leaked images and a very helpful video, we can see that the new HTC One has a slightly shinier finish to it and has a darker tone to it. This could be a result of the mystery finish that was spoken about in the YouTube video, but as they rightly say we’ll have to wait ’til March 25th to find out for sure.
The latest teaser uses a Metal fan to get across the build message, but we feel that a Metalhead would be more impressed with those BoomSound speakers than how it looks. After all, there’s not all that many smartphones out there that can do heavy metal any justice. Take a look at the teaser below and let us know if you’re looking forward to the new One’s launch later this month.
