The first quarter of 2014 has seen almost all the leading Android handset manufacturers announce new flagship models, with the exception of HTC, who will be officially revealing the ‘All New One’ on March 25th. The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month will mostly be remembered for Sony showing off their replacement for the 2013 Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z2; Samsung displaying their latest addition to the Galaxy family, the S5; as well as LG revealing their latest attempt at a phablet device, the G Pro 2. One thing that all three of the aforementioned devices have in common are the very distinctive wallpapers that come pre-installed. Samsung have their bright multi-coloured prism-effected pictures, Sony have gone for their trademark colourful flowing visuals and LG have chosen to take inspiration from both Sony and Samsung whilst adding their own twist by including pictures with architectural, nature and motoring themes. You may also notice that LG have an interest in red objects floating in the sky, be it red umbrellas or red balloons. And no, before you ask, there isn’t 99 red balloons, just a few.
If, like many of us, you are holding last years flagship model in your hands, either by design or by being in the middle of a contract, fear not. One of the easiest (and FREE!) ways to freshen up your device is to change the wallpaper. And this means you are in luck, because here we have the wallpapers from the Galaxy S5, the Xperia Z2 as well as LG’s G Pro 2, giving you the opportunity to dress up your phone in the latest duds. You can either pick your wallpaper individually by right-clicking and saving your favourite wallpaper, or you can download the entire enchilada, here from Google Drive, or here from Mega. Also remember that you can choose to have the same picture on both your lock-screen and home-screen, or you can go wild and have a different wallpaper on each. Feel free to let us know which wallpaper is your favourite either in the comments section or at our Google Plus page.
