The Republic Wireless access to moto maker is scheduled to go live at 12 pm EST on the first, which will put things at 9 am PST for those of you who use the service on the west coast.

Just one hour earlier from when the moto maker access is available, (that’s 11 am EST and 8 am PST)if you visit the promotional website that Republic Wireless has set up and you are one of the first 2,000 people to do so, Republic Wireless will give you a promo code to use for an upgrade to a free wood back for the moto x. If that doesn’t sound appealing to you’d be happy to know that the promo code will end up saving you $25, which is the normal cost of the wood backs. All four wood back options will be available to use with the promo code, so you ‘ll be able to upgrade to a wood back in either bamboo, teak, ebony, or wood finishes.
If you’re looking to switch to Republic Wireless and pick yourself a moto x, they have plans starting as low as $5 a month, and the moto x starts at $349.99 for the 16GB model. The 32GB is just $50 more. Those aren’t bad prices considering what the cost of the moto x was at launch.
